Dear J: Poetry from the Soul
New poetry book explores all aspects of love and spirituality to heal and uplift readers.
EDINBURGH, Scotland – Traverse an exhilarating and uplifting journey of emotions in the poetry collection Dear ‘J’: Poetry from the Soul (published by AuthorHouse), by psychic Maggie Brown.

“The book has a spiritual feel…there is a philosophical message in the work and as a result it uplifts and gives comfort to the reader,” says Brown. “I began writing poetry because I couldn’t find the right poem to send to someone. Sometimes it’s difficult to find the right words to say to a loved one, and within this collection there are many ways to express feelings.”

Dear ‘J’ touches on all facets of the theme of love, including anticipation, excitement, passion, despair and longing. The book is meant to inspire and give hope to those who are navigating their own confusing emotions, whether that be love, happiness or sadness.

Brown claims she was inspired by a channeled spirit while writing the book. Her favorite poem is “Dream”:

Loving every lick of your tongue and all the ways/ You express how you feel, with every tantalizing kiss/ The passion in your soul, the unadulterated bliss/ When you take me completely I die a hundred thousand times/ Such an exquisite moment I just ache madly for this

About the Author: Maggie Brown is a professional medium and psychic. She taught holistic studies as head of the Holistic Studies department at a continuing education institution. She is an experienced Reiki master, and freelances for an online publication and an international psychic company. • Read 'Dedication to someone so very special' at the beach and it is one book you will bring home wit

Although this is a poetry book do not let that put you off. The poems were all written from the heart and I guarantee will resonate with anyone who reads them. Some of them are very deep but that is because there is a message within them that will make you think. It's not a book you will pick up and discard after reading it once for each time you read it over you will find another layer of meaning within. After reading on holiday it is one book you will bring back home with you.

Its the kind of book you can dip into at any page and does not need to be read from cover to cover

  • TRUST YOUR GUT INSTINCT

The most import thing that I have learned recent, well I am continually having this reinforced, that we are all different and each of us have different views on things and that because they may not be mainstream that does not necessarily make them wrong. We cannot judge anyone unless we have lived their live in their shoes, for how can we know how their experiences have led them to their opinions.

On a similar vein, trust your own instinct, many of us have forgotten to tap into our sixth sense. This is an instinctive sense that helped us avoid danger as we were evolving. Animals still use theirs and anybody that has a pet, cat or dog will be very much aware at how astute their sixth sense it. When you do use it, you will be amazed how uncannily accurate it is and to use it, its that very first answer you get without having to think about it. If you have to think about the answer you seek you are not using your sixth sense/intuition but using your rational mind. Its is this sense that psychics use and they are adept at it as they are more sensitive than the norm.

Like a muscle you have to use it for to develop it and the more you practise using it, the better and easier it gets.

So leads me back to what important thing I've learned recently my intuition is always right and it never lets me down. Although I meet new people all the time and I may not have the same viewpoint as them, I know intuitively that it is likely their experiences in life that have led them to form their opinions. My intuition has taught me whom to trust and whom not to.

For the cynical amongst you, relying on a gut instinct may seem far fetched. For me well I have the utmost faith in it and seen it demonstrated time and time again, particuarly when doing platform readings to a hall full of complete strangers and I have the trust in it to give accurate readings. What better proof is there!

  • Is lying ever ok?

Should we always be totally blunt?

Sometimes you have to tell a little white lie to protect someone's feelings as to be totally frank and honest would hurt them badly. In time you can come back to the situation and take the time and counsel them. Certain situations don't always allow you the time to explain and it would be hurtful to be blunt. I always try and revisit the circulation and be tactfully honest though as its not a good idea to leave someone with false hope either, but to give good constructive criticism.

  • Snow white and rose red brings me back

I loved fairytales beacause they always had happy endings

A time when as a child you believed anything was possible. I loved fairytales and always believed that miracles could happen. Whether it was because I was born an optimist I don't know or whether it is because of my spiritual beliefs that I believe anything can happen if you believe it it I don't know. I guess also reading fairytales was a way of escaping my life at that time, I didn't have a happy childhood and I could immerse myself in fairytales for they always had happy endings and this was one of my favourites. The heroines or princesses were always beautiful and I really was a late developer and an ugly duckling and I always wished I could be beautiful like them.
